- May 15, 2005: Attended workshop on adoptions from China
- June 7, 2005: Application sent in from Adoption
- June to September 2005: Worked on documents for Dossier, notarizing, certifying and authenticating.
- August 2, 2005: 1st meeting with our social worker Carmen at her office for Home study
- August 9, 2005: Second meeting for home study with Carmen in our Home
- August 9, 2005: I-600A application sent to USCIS and fee
- August 30, 2005: 3rd meeting with our Social Worked Carmen at her office
- September 6, 2005: Final meeting with Social Worker Carmen at her office
- September 17, 2005: Fingerprints at USCIS in Miami
- November 30, 2005: Received I-171H approval to bring home our daughter from USCIS
- December 28, 2005: Dossier sent to China - DTC
- January 16, 2006: Log in date - LID
- September 2, 2008: Date of Referral - DOR
- September 5, 2008: Date of Letter of Acceptance - LOA
- September 30, 2008: Date of Travel Approval (China invites you to travel)- TA
- October 22- November 18, 2008: Travel dates
- November 3, 2008: GOTCHA date - Forever Family
- November 12, 2008: Consulate appt to swear in Mei Lin - CA
- November 18, 2008: Back home
